Hello everyone,

Yesterday I signed up for the Kidney Walk with the National Kidney Foundation to be held at the Sam Houston Park in Downtown Houston in September. When I signed up it said that most induviduals only collect about $120.00 so pick a realistic goal is what I was told. (Hello have we met!!!) (LOL) they suggested $200.00 but, I decided on$500.00. Really $500.00 for one induvidual is alot but, I sent out a mass email to my Friends and Family from Texas to New York. Low and behold by 9pm last night I had already collected $650.00 I exceeded the goal in 1 day. So today I am raising my goal to $1500.00 it may be alot but it will make a difference to people with Kidney Disease.. I just wanted to share because I was so excited that I already met my first goal...  :bandance; :clap;

Admin if this is in the wrong place please move it sorry!

I am new to all of this and most probably will be on dialysis before September.  As an old Houston guy,  I want to help.  Is there anyway you can get me information.  I've worked for causes all of my life.  It is time to change my focuse to one that directly is affecting my life.
