Sorry for being absent for a bit but a fall and broken hip took priority.

With the help and actions of my family, who I was worried about being a drag on, showed me different

The fall was my fault as I went out after dear wife told me not to.  SHe was more worried after the afll than she was about my need for diaklysis.  She pictured me a total invalid when ehe took call from St Lukes.  But I proved her wrong.  I started being mobile 2 weeks before the rehab pepole had scheduled They found out I was one that never followed orders.  I told the PT people tell me what you expect me do an not how to do it.  It took abit but after only 3 weeks I was at home.  Family had revamped and moved things to accommidate my walker.

now after 8 weeks I have started just using the cane  but with a left hip bad and the right knee things are not going like I want.  Itold them that by easter I will once again be drinving

Last friday evening when I answered the phonee and was asked if I was Southyard.  Not to many people know me by that name as I have outived all my earlier friend.  It was Sloof checkcing up on me.  That call confirmed that I would keep on dialysis at least another 6 months

Enough for now I will continue to keep all informed

Welcome back Southyard!

Good to hear you kicked butt at rehab and walked out on them early. Best of luck with your goal. I'm sure you will do it. After you've worn yourself out walking, sit down at your computer and "say hi"
