Nanay, superwoman, super dooper, best mother

« on: December 21, 2008, 04:18:47 PM »

Yesterday, Sunday was the christmas party for Nanay's center. Nanay's all dressed-up, said she felt tired and doesn't want to go but she needs to, since there's going to be a raffle and she wants to win the washing machine! It pricked my heart that even on her condition, the need to provide for the family is great for her. The old machine is beyond repair and it is truly cumbersome not to replace it. Nanay knows that all of the money has been going to pay her dialysis. Insurance is not common in the Phils. Before, I can easily send them money for this "little" things, but now, dialysis has eaten up all our reserves. I am barely living from paycheck to paycheck. The irony was that, what she won is a "flat iron." At least we had a good laugh. Maybe God heard it all wrong, HE wants us to iron first before washing!!!
A BLESSED CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!!!

love,

Happy Holidays cris!!

Your Nanay sounds like a great lady. Sorry she didn't win the washing machine. She deserved it too for thinking of your family like that!

Sorry she didn't win the prize that she wanted but apparently someone needed it more than she did, at least that's what I keep telling myself when someone else wins the lottery.. :rofl;  Oh well keep your spirits up, prayer works on it's own timetable.
