:banghead; :Kit n Stik; :puke;  I suffer from constant cuts and sores on my feet and toes.  I am using tons of skin cream.  I am increasing blood circulation with my Revitive machine sessions.  Does anyone else
have this problem?  How do you cope with it?

A thought.

Once upon a time one of our dogs kept nibbling and licking at his back immediately in front of the base of his tail.  Wife insisted he had fleas and had me take him to the Vet for treatment.  Turned out he only had severely dry skin. Vet advised me to add pork fat to his diet, about a tablespoon daily. I buy the big 2 pound packages of hot dogs and treat him daily to a hot dog.  He loves it!

Vet tells me that some animals require this small amount of fat to there daily diet to increase the production of their natural skin oils.  For some reason pork fat is far better at this than all the other animal fats found in beef, chicken and fish.

It may be possible this can also apply to humans.  Inadequate fat, of the right type, in our diet may be found to contribute to some health, i.e., skin dryness.

This is something maybe I need to think about also as the last few years I have seriously reduced the fats in my diet.

This could pose a serious problem for Muslim persons.  That would be a problem if your Dr advised you to do something that is totally against your Religion.

My Mother use to make us take a Cod Liver oil capsule daily. My Father would give our dog a capsule as well too. We always gave credit to the capsule making his fur so shiny and his skin condition was never an issue.
However.....reading this post reminded me that YES he did have a capsule daily...buried in a piece of hot dog that he would swallow whole. So....now...was it the added pork fat? Or the Cod Liver Oil capsule?

Or maybe that combination is what made the difference!

I have problems with my feet drying out and cracking to the point where walking is painful.

My doc recommended Amlactin (over the counter), which I have found works wonderfully.  It comes in a pump bottle and a thicker cream in a tube (Amlactin Ultra) which I prefer.
