I'm leaving in the morning for our annual Camporama. I've pulled off as much fluid as I can this week and now am 3 kilos under my dry weight so skipping Saturday dialysis shouldn't be a problem. No wi-fi in the campground so I won't be posting after tonight. I'll post some pics of the fish I catch, as well as, the beautiful Indiana scenery. Life on dialysis isn't all bad.

Please do post your fish pictures. Have fun we will be here when you get back. :beer1;

For a long time in Canada there was a television add to encourage kidney donation. It showed two men sitting in a boat fishing, talking about their friend who couldn't be with them anymore because he was on dialysis. I used to think that the Canadian Kidney Foundation must be crazy to run such an ad, because the general public would assume that we were asking for them to donate their kidneys because we couldn't fish! I guess you've shown even that reason is unfounded.

Have a wonderful trip and don't spend a moment thinking of anything by having a great time. We'll all be here when you return... waiting with forks and tartar sauce!

Have a great time.....in light of the scrumptous food you post.....can we have before and after pics of the fish? ;D

Had a wonderful time. We got invaded by raccoons the first night and I didn't get much sleep. I went out the next morning and bought a large water canon. I loaded it with a mixture of water and hot sauce. No problems after that. Three days and not a single thought about dialysis. Got some great pics. One of my cousins hauled up a full size refridgerator and I took a 15" flat screen TV so we could watch the Olympics. We believe in "roughing it".
-
So, I'm curious, how did the hotsauced raccoons taste???? :rofl;
-
welcome back!
-
they ran away rubbing their eyes. I felt like Bill Murray in Caddyshack
-
:pics; waiting for the picts.... waiting for the picts.... waiting for the picts....

We did have electric hookups so we took a few extras like refridgerator,microwave, color TV (with rabbit ears) but it was fun...18 people, 10 tents, no dialysis.

So, I'm curious, how did the hotsauced raccoons taste???? :rofl;
Hahahah for a moment I thought they barbecued them!
-
They are a lot like bears. Once they get used to feeding off campers, there's no stopping it. They actually chewed into a couple of plastic totes the first night. All they got was some Fruit Loops and graham crackers. All the meat was in the fridge, strapped shut but they still tried to chew the straps.

Just saw this post
Glad you had a great time and get a way flip.
-
Looks like a fun group. There is nothing like being outdoors. I do like the idea of the refrigerator! Maybe a small airconditioner for the tents? Glad you got away and had such a good time. :2thumbsup;

The refrig I can understand, what I am having trouble with is the chair in the first picture with a yellow cord???? Is that an Electric Chair??????? :rofl; :rofl; :rofl; Oh......I made a funny....now I'm going to bed..........Oh yes okarol...it was barbequed squirrel....surrrreeee... :cheer:

I lived in Kentucky a long time ago. One day I when I got home, the neighbor was "skinning" a squirrel to barbeque for dinner. I grew up eating deer and rabbit, but squirrel just doesn't do it for me. Flip, what did you grill on your weekend camp out?
-
FlipBob, why do some people have jackets on?
glad you had a good time and no dialysis
lucky you
worried about you some - so many days without D
I think you went Fri,Sat,Sun and Mon without D
we used to eat squirrels when I was young and trusted adults!
my uncle would hunt them, skin them and my aunt would chicken fry them
I would not eat them now
even had squirrel gravy

Glad you had a good time Dr. Phil. :)
