Title: How are you to tell ?
Post by: KICKSTART on August 13, 2008, 04:04:37 AM
I have written a few threads lately about not feeling so good , run down, lethargic etc and put it down to a dire need of IV iron (which i had on Thurs) Last night i started to feel even worse , head swimming , feeling i was going to pass out and generally unwell, the result was i had to call the emergency doctor out. Turns out i have a nasty virus ! I feel like  :puke; at the moment , but cant take anything for it .I have to get plenty rest and wait for it ..drink plenty fluids , hahaha. So it just goes to show you have a job telling if its dialysis related or not , i was blaming my lack of iron for feeling like this , needless to say i cant go for my next lot of iron this week , i have to wait now.

I know exactly how you feel kickstart. Last week I had what I think was some kind of 48 hour bug and the trouble is you're thinking all the time that its one more irreversible step in the kidney failure process.

It sucks that you're sick but I'm so glad it's a recoverable thing not a kidney related thing.

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well! I understand what you're saying though. I never know when I'm feeling off if this is the sort of "off" like "normal" people get or a kidney "off". Do I need to worry and call my neph or just go to bed and I'll be better tomorrow?

My sympathies for sure. I hope you rebound quickly and feel "better" as soon as possible.

Hope you feel better.  That's what I like about IHD tho...usually someone has felt something like it or we can talk it through.
