I am having sweats during dialysis now. I mean dripping, wet, get the fan, I am hot sweats! They start about half way through treatment and go for about an hour and a half or more. Lordy! The tech got the fan for me today and I enjoyed it. I am usually cold in dialysis. I am usually so cold I bring a hot pack to warm myself up with. I do not get it! It is the change of life making me crazy or is something wrong with dialysis again?

I wish I could help but you always seemed hot to me. :oops; did I type that out loud?

Yup, I have hot flashes again AND definitely get the sweats when my BP drops. Baths (I am having shower fantasies these days and I'm generally alone in them) every day, sometimes twice a day.
-
It could be the Richard Simmons' tapes you're watching.
-
Richard Simmons has hot flashes

I only get the sweats when I'm in the middle of a blood pressure crash. Otherwise, I'm just cold, cold, cold! It will be sunny, 80, and even warmer in the house, and I'm still sitting there with my little heater on me!
Honestly, hot flashes and dialysis. . . like you don't have enough to be getting on with!
-
I sweat when my BP crashes too, it sucks. But other than that it's chills! I am so cold sometimes I am just blue.
-
I get "extremely warm" about half way thru dialysis, sometimes sweating and they then turn the heat down to 36 on the machine and I'm fine.
-
me too with the sweating when the BP drops... it's usually my first sign I'm near a crash and to stop the UF for a bit, or have a small drink. It's not a fun feeling at all.
-
Yep, I agree with others about the bp. It just happened to me last week during a tilt table test. When my bp dropped to 63, that's when I got the sweats real bad, then started to lose what vision I have. All that reminded me of dialysis days. :( >:(
-
I get them at night and was checked out for the menopause because of them , but it turns out its a side effect of one of my tablets !
-
When hubby first started nocturnal he would wake up at night sweating. We turned the temp on the machine down to 36.5 or 36 I'm not sure which and no problems since
-
that's happened to me a few times. usually my blood pressure is low. they think it's because we're taking too much off. could be since i don't have a reliable dry weight. getting skinny here :rofl;
-
Same to me, sweating will occured when BP dropped, happen few times my BP was 60/40, whole body was sweating, meanwhile the room temperature was 21 deg C. At that moment - :bow; praying hard to GOD to give back my life... I'm dying , short breath and feel hopeless. Thanks GOD for spare back my life to live..... :yahoo;

I had that problem too at one time. Then one of the nurses told me that there is a temp setting on the machine that heats up the dialysate and she turned it down and I cooled off in about 15 minutes. Whew, what a relief! Maybe that is your problem too. Ask your nurse to turn the temp down. Hope this helps.

They do turn it down. I have to got to call my neph and talk to him. Really talk to him.
Blood pressure drops
Weight gain
Fluid not coming off of me on the machine
Sweats while on dialysis.
Blood pressure high when I walk into the center.
I am skipping periods, too.
Hey. I am a mess!

::) Kitkatz could you be pg? that would be so exciting :waving;
-
:bandance; Great...I'll start planning the baby shower. My place....u'll come.
-
God, no way! Tubes were tied ages ago! Prolly change of life.
-
Sounds like good old fashioned menopause to me. I never leave home without a fan (chinese cheap and cheerful variety). Everyone else at the centre will be covered in their blankets, while mine is off me and I'm fanning away. Joy and bliss. I've had these flashes for a good four years now.
-
Do you only sweat while you are on the machine? If not, then it might be hormonal. Hopefully the neph can shed some light on this. I hope everything works out for you. :stauffenberg;
