Title: NEW BOOK: “Giving Life” - compelling stories about organ transplantation
Post by: okarol on June 24, 2008, 01:12:55 PM
Kidney donor Tom Falsey has just published a fine book called “Giving Life” - a collection of stories from a number of organ donors and recipients, (both living and deceased donors). It is a well-balanced book, as it includes both inspiring success stories and sad stories of transplants that failed despite the best efforts. It can be ordered at http://www.CrystalVisionBooks.com now, and may be available at Amazon in the near future. The official publication date is not until July, so at present, the book is only available through the publisher.

Karol, I just saw this thread and followed the link. Is the chapter "Losing a Kidney, Gaining a Family" about Patrice?

I'm thinking about ordering the book and adding it to my company's "Corporate Library". Thanks for the info!

Yes, that's about Patrice. They also included the Los Angeles Times article about finding Jenna's donor. I have a copy, it's really a great compilation of stories.

I might be wrong, but I think he was at the transplant games and was in a photo taken by one of "MySpace" friends.
