Hi I normally do MWF treatments for 3 hrs. I am on HEMO. Well my mom is unfortunately in the hospital for low platelts, but should get out today. Well my question is this. Since I had to be with my mom on Monday and went yesterday for my treatment, can I possibly only do maybe a 2 hr treament since all they will be doing is cleaning my blood and not taking any fluid off of me??

I don't see how that would be a problem since you only plan on doing it once. When you leave early you will have to sign an "against medical advice" form indicating that you understand the risks of cutting your treatment time short, which again, will be ok since it's only once. I hope this helps.

I agree with Adam. It shouldn't be a problem especially if your URR is good.

I had to get off an hour earlier today - had to go to the pulmonary sonogram
one kid doc says as long as you stay 2 hours

me personally don't see a problem wit it just don't make it a habit

Everyone has already answered it.... it's ok to do once in a great while, but if those AMA form's start piling up, it shows your an uncompliant patient.

I agree with Angela, you can do it once in awhile. (I'm good for about 4 a year) but don't make a habit of it. It's not a huge deal...esp. if you went in yesterday.

As they say at my center, it all depends on your numbers.
