My renal doc has raplaced renagel with fosrenol. Although I've red all the blurb on the leaflet I sure would apprediate any info from those here who take it.

Jenna was on Renegel, never had Fosrenol.

Ken, Rolando uses it and it is excellent for his phosphorus control. He stays in the low threes. He did have a bit of trouble with choking on it every time he took it, here's the thread:

The winning recipe is "Chocobanana Fosrenal" - pulverized fosrenal mashed into a bit of banana with a touch of chocolate... mmm, mmm, good(kinda...)

fosrenol is great if you enjoy constipation :sarcasm;

From Shire, the makers of Fosrenol (lanthanum carbonate):
"... While lanthanum has been shown to accumulate in the GI tract, liver, and bone in animals, the clinical significance in humans is unknown."
There are always risks v. benefits. The choice is yours.
