I don't have much experience with forums like this, but I can't imagine a more supportive group of people. I have been reading for hours and I am touched by the compassion and empathy that I can actually feel in your posts. I am grateful to bear witness to this type of kindness and openness. You are a blessing and an inspiration.

You're right, it's a very special group of people and I am proud to be part of this family! :2thumbsup;

Ditto!!!!! Love you all!!!!

Without this group i wouldnt be here , no one could ever understand how much a group of people , most who have never met , can lift each others spirits.

Yep, me too, I'm proud to be

I agree, after one time on this website (for a few hours of course!), I had to sign up! I find it is a good way to keep me inspired. It is good to see that some patients do really care about their lives and their health. Not to mention they care for and support each other. This website helps me to remember why I wanted to be a nurse in the first place-to help others!

Three years ago, I would have never turned to the internet for support. Now I have made some of the best friends I have ever had. We are a very close group and look to each other for answers and especially for support. Love you guys! :grouphug;

I agree this forum is unique and I am proud to be part of it.

:grouphug; I came here and found the answers from people that knew what I was going through, they quickly became my family and for that I am truly Gratefull, Thanks everyone!

I'm another who would never have joined an Internet group before finding IHD. I tried Facebook and didn't like it. Here I feel right amongst friends and family. Comfortable, welcome and loved :grouphug;

Someone please pass a kleenex. :'( Sometimes I don't know what I would do if it weren't for everyone here at IHD. Especially since I do home hemo now and do not have a lot of interaction with the outside world. I feel like you all are family and will listen to whatever it is that is on my mind. Thank you to all!!

Thank so much for "getting it". This has got to be one of the most special forums on the entire Internet, I am convinced.
The level of caring and sharing us just awesome, and not just words. In many wonderful and tangible ways. A very special young man had a vision and he built this site and put many things into place to ensure its longevity even after his death (we didn't think he would be gone from us that quickly) and we continue to move on and expand.

Yep. I've only been around a week or so and I check in regularly... I've already used info gathered from one or two posts at the Doc's office on one occasion. :)

:big hug:
Yes, what everyone said. I am so grateful I found this site and you all. I feel like even if I have an emergency (non immediate life threatening) of some kind at home I can get an immediate answer on here rather than trying to call a clinic and wait through all the hold messages as most everything someone has gone through and we can find out from each other what thinigs to question or watch for. Thanks all.

Sorry everyone... I don't rock.... I'm more of a classical buff.....
:shy;
But seriously... yes this is a great community! Epo's dream made reality.
-
So, does that mean you are a """Classy Rock"""??? :bandance;
-
I'm not too sure there's much class about me....
though I have been called a rock by some friends which is nice to hear... Well I assume they mean it as in stable and sure, rather than "thick as a..." sense :)
-
R...........so just take the compliment and say TYVM.........so there. :bow;
-
Thank You very much....
(I'll just be over here in the corner blushing...)
:shy;

Be careful in the corner...don't sit on my dust bunnies..... :rofl;
