Hi Everyone- hope you guys are doing good! Anyways, my Neph is going to try me on a new type of Iron Infusion tomorrow and I'm a lil' scared- many times with the iron my blood pressure plummets and I either feel as if I'm going to throw up, pass out or my personal fave- have a SEIZURE. It happens pretty much each time I get iron and they have not given it to me for a while. I just dont want to feel sick and possibly have a seizure or pass out- I just got my new car and do NOT want to lose my license! They are going to give it over a half hour so hopefully my body can handle it. Anyway, now on to the Senispar(SP?) My Phosphorus and Pth were higher than usual and they are going to give the Senispar to try. I saw a few posts on here about it and was wondering if I should refuse the med altogether or maybe ask for the lowest possible dose?? I have been having some cramping and itching, but nothing that bad.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! :thx;

PD patients come in for Iron and they usually run it over an hour.
Hemo the nurses just stop by throughout the run and give a little squirt here and there.

Our iron infusions is done during the last hour of the session. When it is first done the nurses take BP's every 5 minutes to make sure the patient can tollerate the iron OK.

I had the new iron last treatment, and I seemed to tolerate it okay.
