That's great Mel...work is a wonderful distraction...it'll wear you out, but it beats the hell out of sitting around, pondering your fate all day!!

Work does wear you out.........There is a price to pay for everything.  You gain something you also lose something.

Yeah Mel, how'd it go?

And, on a side note, do you have any extra laughing gas sitting around????
 :rofl;

NO, no laughing gas. They keep it locked up pretty tight around here.
My 1st day went well. I just did what I normally do but today is a new day.
Short story. I have been a dental assist. for almost 13 yrs. and been taking classes for hygiene school so that took about 9 yrs. now i am done with nothing to do I was only working 1 day a week (my hobby as some would say) so I work for one of the deans at the dental school and he got me a full time job in his office not just as an assist. so today is my 1st day in the new position. I am uncomfortable but I think it will go wel. I know everyone so that isn't a factor but it is still new.
Anyway. I like to be able to come to work again I feel usefull.
talk with you all soon.

Gizmo?  I had a dog w/ that name too. Try hitting the little im icon under her name on the left of her message and that should let you send her a personal message.

I work full time and hope to work as long as possible.  Not only because I need the money to pay for my medical bills, but also because working makes me feel less 'sick' and more normal.  It's not easy, though.

mel, glad to hear everything went well! Starting a new job, even if it's a new position in the same office, if difficult and tiring. Glad you have a good boss who's helping you out.

I'm returning to work on April 14 after my mandated 3 month absence after transplant. I'm working from home right now, but can't wait to get back to the office. Just not looking forward to the early mornings! (I need a smiley with a cup of coffee!)

Nice going Mel...there's always stress starting a new job, but you'll do great I'm sure. It is nice feeling useful though, isn't it? You don't realize how important that is until it's taken away.

KT...glad to hear you get to go back...nice and easy as they say...but I'm sure you'll love getting back in the swing of things!
