Johnny Depp Donated $2 Million to Hospital
Posted January 15th, 2008 by Molly Celaschi
Johnny Depp has donated $2 million to the British hospital that treated his daughter when she was sick last year with kidney failure.
Last week, Depp invited doctors and nurses from the hospital to the London premiere of Sweeney Todd.
And, back in November, Johnny spent four hours at the hospital telling bedtime stories to patients dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow after having his Pirates Of The Caribbean costume flown over from Los Angeles.
Depp's daughter mysteriously got E.coli poisoning last year. She's doing well now.
Depp, who was yesterday named best actor in a musical at the Golden Globes for his role in Sweeney Todd, later said of the scare: "It was the most frightening thing we have ever been through. It was hell.
"But the magic is that she pulled through beautifully. Great Ormond Street was terrific, a great hospital."

It's people like that who make our doctor's and hospitals feel appreciated for what they do, and i'm sure alot of us would do the same if we had the means. It's a great thing he did b/c he does have the means, He is truly a nice person in everyday life (I have met him.) and every bit the best actor he was named. I LOVE DEPP, He so freakin cute :)

Can you imagine how excited the children were when Captain Jack Sparrow walked in? (not to mention their mom's!). And the Great Ormond Street hospital--I mean that is Peter Pan's hospital? Did you see Johnny Depp in Finding Neverland? I loved Johnny Deep before, but it really is nice to know he is a good guy. So glad his daughter is doing well now. Nice article.
