That's why I haven't been here much this week. I have been dialyzing every day this week except Sunday to try and get all the fluid off that I gained as a result of missing treatment time! Hopefully I won't need to go on Sat. But I will if need be. I'm okay though! The stat K the kidney center drew on Friday was 4.0, down from 7.0. :banghead; :banghead; :banghead; :banghead; :banghead;

Wow, how much fluid were you over? and how much treatment time did you miss? I am just glad they are able to get you everyday and take it off in a more natural manner than try and run you for like 7 hours (yes, that was me, guilty ::)) Take care and hang in there Krisna, we will be here when you are feeling better and not dialyzing so much anymore. :cuddle;

The only days I really have to stay on the full 3 hrs are my normally scheduled days. Other than that it's up to me. They drew monthly labs yesterday so I'll have to wait and see just how messed up I was this week.
So here's what I remember abt missing time and rearranging my schedule.
Monday, October 29th - missed 30 minutes; Wednesday, October 31st - missed 15 minutes; Saturday, November 3rd - changed from Friday, but got my full 3 hrs.
Tuesday, November 6 - came off 2 hrs. early due to severe back pain; Tuesday, November 6th went to ER but got impatient so I left. Hubby and I went to pick up my prescriptions. Hubby called 9-1-1 in the parking lot because he said I wasn't making sense!; Wednesday, November 7th - admitted to different hospital where nobody knows me; November 7th - Dialyzed 4 hrs in hospital; Friday, Wednesday, November 7th - Signed myself out of hospital, AMA; Thursday, November 8th went to see my own doctor; November 9th - Full 3 hours.

I'm still in shock that it even happened. I never do that stuff. I'll change one day here and there but the whole week? And to drink orange juice knowing that I've missed time that week!
My Nephrologist called me yesterday to see how I was doing. He said he had to tripple check the patient who had a Potassium of 7 because I never do that sort of thing. But I am getting better!

Yeah, I know. But I really don't have any set restrictions because I already know what I shouldn't eat or drink. Now, I do eat and drink things high in potassium and sodium but I do so during the week. I dialyze on M-W-F so if I want that stuff I do it on Tuesday or Thursday and only if I have gotten all my treatment time during the week. I think I was just really sick and wasn't thinking clearly. But I am better now!
