I am still having the weird feeling in my throat. I was given steroids last week at the ER (Tuesday of last week... took them for 5 days). I have not seen any relief. I have noticed that when I wake up now my face is VERY swollen. It was like that last week and early this week, but I figured that was from the steroids. I have been off the steroids for a week. Don't you think the swelling would have stopped by now??? Also, it affects my vision. I have perfect vision, and now when I look to my left, my left eye gets kinda blurry. It also kinda feels "stressed". It does not feel normal. Almost like my eye is bulging out. Also, my head feels heavy. If I lean down for anything, I just feel yuck. Oh yeah, If I do anything that takes the slightest bit of energy, my heart starts beating fast.
Any ideas of what it could be??? I know.... lots of symptoms :)

IMO You need to go back to your doctor. You have too many symptoms that seem strange.

Donia,
I hope you call your Dr - don't wait. You may
be having a reaction to some med, or goodness knows
what- I would put in a call to primary Dr and then the
Nepth- now.
Please don't wait!

Hi donnia -
I can't help but think it may be related to your permacath. A young woman at Jenna's dialysis center had similar symptoms and it had to do with the fluid not draining from her head/neck - apparently there was scar tissue. She had pressure in her throat and eyes, and a "heavy head." I could be wrong, but it just seems very similar. I hope you get some relief soon! :cuddle;

Thank you soooo much for saying this!!! I am convinced that it is because of my permacath! I can't get anyone else to listen tho. I have talked to my neph, my surgeon, the idiots at the ER, and my primary. At least my primary is trying! I will call them tomorrow morning!
Thank you Thank you Thank you!

I would also put a call into your eye doctor to have the eye pressure checked. There are drops to help releve the pressure. Hopefully it is what okarol thinks and it can be corrected.

Good idea. I am worried about my vision. I will call an eye doctor.

Sharon started having "double Vision" problems and it was finally traced to her having "Giant cell Arteritis", an ophthalmologist was instrumental in the finding (along with a biopsy of the veins in her head), heavy Prednisone (80mg) cured it, but almost 2 years later she is still on the pred (only 3.5mg now)
it doesn't sound as if this might be your problem, but one never knows.....
