After 2 months of dialysis, my Mom still experiences stomach nausea, occassional shortness of breath. Now her legs are swollen, even after dialysis. she is on 2x/week HD. There are few little bulges of "skin water" on her legs. We stopped doing warm compress as her skin on the legs, we noticed, are becoming so thin, that a warm compress ruptures the skin easily. No, there's not much water according to Dr's computation. My Mom is 78 yrs. old.
Any thoughts, please.
Thanks so much,
cris

It sounds to me as if she isn't getting enough fluid off of her, the nausea & shortness of breath? I hope they figure it out soon for her.

Yes, that is what i was thinking too, she has too much fluid on her, i think they should try and take more off (little by little) hopefully she will start feeling better soon :2thumbsup; I dont understand what "skin water" is though ???

what I mean wit skin water is like a blister you get from wearing new shoes, forming tiny bubbles, before blistering.

Cris, I'm sending positive thoughts to your mom. I hope her situation improves soon. Take care.
