Title: Not my usual chipper self
Post by: kitkatz on August 26, 2007, 04:55:11 PM
I have not been my usual chipper self for quite some time now.  I am going to call my primary doctor and get an appointment. I feel:

tired all of the time
have put weight back on
have a funny taste in my mouth almost all of the time now.
In a grumpy mood all of the time now.

So if I seem off it is because I am.

I am so sorry KitKatz.  Does starting the new school year have anything to do with it?   My school should start tomorrow--- First time in 18 years I won't be there.    I am worried about you. Hopefully the dr. can help.  Keep us posted. :cuddle;

Do you need to hit something?  I'll send David over for target practice.  This may not make you feel better, but that sounds like how I felt when I took a turn for the worse.  I hope all goes ok with the doc.  Just remember we love you, grumpy or chipper.

Seems these are very challenging days for all of us.  I am so glad that we can at least hold each others' hands as we go through these times.  We are survivors!!

I sure hope it's something physical, just so it can be fixed!  That could be it, though, school has started.  Ick.

KitKatz,  I can't stop thinking about you.   Hope you are getting through you days.  Today I should have been in my classroom doing my bulletin boards, making name tags, laminating everything, making lesson plans----but, no--they didn't think I could do it anymore---so feeling depressed and old.  What a roller coaster this disease is.  Be good to yourself and know that we all care very much :grouphug;

Kat, hope you feel better soon.

On a side note - makes me angry that dedicated teachers are not be used by school systems which so desperately need them.   >:(

I am with you Black,  especially, if the teacher LOVES their jobs,  i cant believe how many teachers out there let these kids slack off cuz they either dont want to deal with it or they dont know how to, i wish they would re-evaluate and get rid of them bad apples, i know there arent many but there are some  :thumbdown; :thumbdown; :thumbdown;

All the teachers who really are for kids are no longer found. Your new teachers are all about contracts and unions. Where the hell are the unions when you need them?

I hope you get feeling better Kit. I think some of the ups and downs are just part of the disease. Maybe you just need some "you" time to regenerate yourself?   :grouphug;

Can you believe I called my primary Kaiser doctor yesterday and got an appointment for today! I am on my way at 9:50 this morning to tell him of my symptoms and get some help, maybe.  I hope he does not say I am crazy or it is all due to kidney failure. If I have to feel this way the rest of my life, I am going to have a screaming fit. So wish me luck.

No mean nurse this time, just a doctor backlogged and an hour wait to see him.  I have planter faschitis in the right foot, and a pinched nerve in the left foot. And the sore feet were not even why I went into the doctor in the first place. Exercises for the right foot and a pad for the left one to relieve the pinched nerve.  He says the rest might be thyroid or premenopause symptoms. He did blood work and says to call him in week to see what the blood work says. I had the day off today from work and I feel better.  Hmmmm.....

I wasted 6 months with my GP trying to treat my sore feet before I insisted on a referral to a podiatrist.  Finally got x-rays which resulted in custom made orthotics - made from molds of my feet - and finally no more foot pain and swelling.

Glad you are feeling better.  Rest can sometimes be all we really need.
