One of our members, KidneyMommy, along with her family, are walking to support the NKF Kidney Walk on Sept. 15th in Twin Cities, MN. Her son Gavin had a life saving kidney transplant on December 7, 2005 at the age of 11-months. Her donation page says, "We are so grateful that his daddy was a great living-donor match. Without the support of wonderful organizations like the National Kidney Foundation we don't know where we would be. Please help us fight kidney disease and raise awareness for organ donation. The NKF's Kidney Walk presents an occasion for dialysis patients, organ transplant recipients, donor families, living donors, the medical communities, and the general public to celebrate LIFE and support the Foundation's mission."
