Post by: pdpatty on May 29, 2007, 12:24:13 PM
Recieved a sample of a product from the Ensure people  called SUPLENA.

description on flyer says

Suplena with Carb Steady is thetapeutic nutrition for people with early stage kidney disease who may have any of the following:
    A need to control the intake of protein,sodium,potassium and phosphorus.

     A need for a convienient snack made for people with reduced kidney function

      Diabetes

Has anyone used this product.

I wonder if it could be frozen and used as an ice cream substitute. I really miss a little ice cream once in a while.

I didn't know Rice Dream was ok for dialysis peeps!  Rice Dream is awesome, I know you'll love it!  I'll have to venture into our local tree-huggin' health food store to get some for Joe.   :thumbup;

For Rice Dream liquid only get the Original not the Enriched.  The Rice Dream Ice Cream??  Who cares just enjoy it!

The Suplena sounds like it is pre-dialysis.  For Dialysis patients I suggest the NePro (Butter Pecan)

Rerun, we ordered some of that Butter Pecan and Joe said it was too sweet, like melted ice cream almost.  Do you know if the other flavors are any less sweet?
