Over the past 2 weeks I have noticed quite a large amount of hair loss after showers, brushing my hair or even fixing my hair. When i first started hemo, i was in the the worst shape and lost all of my hair all of it. It was tough im not gonna lie. So you can understand my concern. Anybody have any idea about this?

I lost a lot of my hair when I first started hemo. I was told it was from all the surgeries that I was having, and the heparin that was used in the machine. My hair has gotten so thin that I'm not sure what to do with it anymore.
A couple of years ago, my unit stopped using the large doses of heparin on the machine, and instead use an injectable, called Fragment. It does the same job as the heparin, keeping the lines clean, but it is easier on the body. I asked the representative that came in to talk to the paitents about it if my hair would start to grow back. She said that it might. I have noticed, in the last couple of months, some baby hairs starting to grow in the thinner spots. It's giving me hope that maybe someday I'll have my thick hair back
