I have a leaky mitral valve that is starting to cause issues and threaten my ability to live. I see my cardiologist on Wednesday and he will probably tell me to get ready for surgical repair. If I'm lucky I'll get minimally-invasive catheter base surgery rather than open heart surgery which is really majorly major. Mick Jagger recently had similar valve repair (and he's jumping around now as if he were a kid.)
My symptoms are serious shortness of breath, weakness and fatigue. I can barely exert myself at all at this point. I'm getting very worried that I might die before having a chance to fix it.
Has anyone here had any experience with this? TY
