No fasting here, but it seemed odd that Ramadan started on Cinco de Mayo but I'd guess it moves around based on Islamic calendar?  Does it end up cycling into the winter or does it end up falling in the spring/summer all the time?

Are you part of the I Hate Dialysis Facebook group?  That group is much larger and you probably would find a few members fasting there.  (I do worry that with a larger group of members some subset of racists might attack a post like that.)

So with Ramadan every year it travels 10 days back from the previous year if that makes sense. So last year it was May 15 now its May 5. The fast are much longer in the summer rather than winter. Now we are eating around 3am and opening our fasts at 8pm.
I rather just stick to these posts here lol. I am obviously excused from fasting due to my condition but I feel stable and usually fast on days I dont have dialysis. I really enjoy it

Sending best wishes and good luck to you and your family, Aaisha!

I don't fast for Ramadan but I just got over a long fast for Great Lent. Yesterday was a fasting day too and then a bit of a longer fast in June. We have a quirky calendar to follow that says which days we can have food with oil and days without oil. (I mess this up a lot... :2thumbsup;)

You're right: fasting can be enjoyable with the right mindset and focus on why/reverence. Take care!

Heck, there's not much like ice cold watermelon for anything! I do so wish canteloupe was not on the bad list though.

Youre making my mouth water, does cantaloupe have a lot of potassium?
