This bug is a psycho killer. It could suck the life out of anyone with a weakened immune system, anyone undergoing an invasive procedure, or anyone with lines or tubes entering their body. In other words, it could decimate the whole CKD population.

I read about this too and it is very very scary. They know that MRSA isn't just caught in hospitals anymore. It has jumped to spreading outside hospitals to communities. I know because I caught it several years ago. Now I fear that it won't be long that we start seeing Candida auris being spread too.

Who has lower immunity, transplant recipients or dialysis patients? For CKD patients in general, does immunity decrease in a linear fashion, in step with decreasing GFR?
