.... There is a story similar to the above and it was written by Stefan Zweig, where a doctor kills his wife and during her sickness he had no time to read medical papers with medical news and so he missed the article, where a new medicine to cure his wife's sickness was celebrated and described. In Stefan Zweig's story the doctor ended up as a hopeless alcoholic because he loved his wife very much and of course he regretted, but at the time he only wanted her to stop her terrible suffering ...
I forgot the title of the book and it is many years that I read the story and it was very impressive ...
