I'd been alarming due to low arterial pressure last week and when we went to start today, there was no flow. They put a drug into my cath to dissolve clots, and it worked, but I'm kind of freaked out about clotting now. Is this common?

Yes, it is common. They have to put the drug in and let it set to dissolve the clot. I liked it because then my catheter would work for a while with no problems.
What freaked me out is when they would pull and pull on the syringe until the clot came shooting out. OMG I would about lose it. Dissolve anytime but don't try and suck it out! EWWWUUUU :banghead;

Glad everything worked out CL.

Thanks. I think I'd pass out if I saw them pull a clot out. A dialysis center is the wrong place for someone that gets queasy at the sight of blood. I would be that someone.
