Title: Oatmeal towards fluid restriction???
Post by: Hazmat35 on May 03, 2017, 07:38:16 AM
I try to be a creature of habit...to some degree.  I eat same time; everyday.  Every morning I drink two cups of coffee; and one bowl of oatmeal or cream of wheat.  Usually instant packets.

The instant oatmeal uses 2/3 of a cup of water...lately my weight between treatments has increased more than normal...the only thing that I can pin it down to; is that the 2/3 a cup of water for the oatmeal...

does this count towards your daily fluid intake?  It never has in the past, but perhaps my body is changing again...

Oatmeal will swell, absorbing considerable water which can be adding your weight.  The 'timing' of how long it is within your digestive system can vary so you can still be holding much of that bulk weight when going in for your treatment.  It should average out if you remain consistent with your diet.  I wouldn't be too concerned just as yet.
