I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the 'News' forum but ultimately decided on here as this is NOT ''news', as it is a Psychologist Tale of his experience in learning he has Kidney Failure and how it felt, the physical and mental experiences he is continuing to live with. This is a very long read, but well worth the time as he spells out many of the things we all have/are experiencing in ways that we are often not able to put into words.

Thank you very much for posting this, Charlie. It is a very important article, and I think it should be pinned on this forum so as to draw our members' attention to it.

Thanks for posting this Charlie. All I am able to say at this moment is wow!!. I am glad this is available for the future for me. It makes me remember when I first was sent to a Nephrologist and had no idea what kind of Dr. I was seeing. He walked in the room and said Hello my dear. I am going to be your best friend because you have Stage 4 kidney disease!!! Wow, what a shock and I am sure so many of us had that same experience. Again, thank you.

Thanx Charlie

Seem to recall Dr. Sollod was quite a fellow and quite active back in the day. He reminded me of someone else, Frank Brown. Seem to recall Frank was supposed to testify at the 2000 US Senate hearings, but couldn't make it:
