Title: Nerve pain go away
Post by: Metalangel28 on February 09, 2017, 08:14:34 AM
I've been getting this painful pins and needles feeling thrpughput my body for months. I asked my nepgrologist if it is my meds ( because the transplant team won't admit anything.. hell they had me go to a specialist for the diarrhea issue saying they didn't know why i had diarrhea when it was myfortic the whole frigging time) nephrologist confirmed its my cmv medication. My donor was cmv positive i am negative. When they take me off the cmv med this coming monday will the nerve pain go away?

While it is always possible that med may be causing your nerve pain there are also a number of other things that can contribute.

Are you physically much?  The body and the nervous system is always in need of stimulation, if it does not get it regularly it tends to rebel, I suspect many of my intermittent 'needle sticks' to be some of this.  The body, like many of our Pets, like my Cat, is simply telling me, 'Touch me, Now', I need to be petted.   I know this sounds bizarre, but when I lightly rub that area, give it that small bit of stimulation I don't get that 'stick' in that area again for a long time.  I get it somewhere else.  LOL

Further proof that I am NOT Normal.  Slightly, noo, more like Majorly, Insane, a little.

Years ago I used to walk with our Dogs.  Circulation in my legs has reduced so much it is difficult for me to get very far. And now way am I fast at anything other than running my mouth.

You are doing well.  Keep with it.

Walking a dog is one of the best things you could for yourself (and of course, for the dog too). I believe that staying mobile on your feet every day keeps the body and our system in motion and free from pain. Or at least keeps the pain down to a dull roar. But you have to pace yourself; too much of it can cause pain, too little or not frequently enough can cause stiffness and pain. You have to learn your limits and then stick with it, rain or shine. Move, move, move. No matter what it is, a little movement each day is better than no movement.
