This is interesting medical news not directly related to Dialysis and transplants, but it does relate to high drug costs and treatments not covered by government medical schemes...

UK medical scheme doesn't pay for HIV prevention drug, but generic drug is available via online pharmacies in India and Swaziland (Southern Africa).  Medical providers are seeing a huge drop in HIV infections, but not other STDs leading them to believe that its due to the online pharmacies as apposed to say condom use.  Because of this medical providers are starting to promote the pharmacies rather than recommend against using them.
