SOMETIMES, my independent living home will serve bacon, 3 whole slices of it once in a while. I will tear off 1/2 of a bacon slice and eat ONE whole slice with that busted off half. I cut my serving down the middle so I don't cheat very much, but get a fair portion. THANKFULLY they don't serve it every day, or that would be BIG trouble for me. I usually stick with a bowl or two of Rice Krispies and a couple slices of toast with PB. Milk and coffee are the two drinks allowed. Water is ok, but it gets ignored, mostly. I even told them to never try to serve me OJ if at all possible. I KNOW for a fact to obey that with no questions, as I am scared of potassium. That is honestly Kryptonite to me and no telling how much Kryptonite exists in 8oz. glass of OJ. Not gonna play with more fire than even permissible at occasion.
