Title: Advertizing Organs on Websites
Post by: elizabetht on April 11, 2007, 12:14:33 AM
In the April 13, 2007 issue of "The Week" magazine a article from the National Review Online was summarized. Seems there is a Dr. Douglas Hanto, a transplant surgeon wants websites that match donors who are willing to donate a kidney to a patient, shutdown.  He feels that soliciting organs is unethical and should be made illegal. People who get organs this way are jumping the line on the national organ-donor list. People on that list receive organs from cadavers only and they are in short supply.  Any thoughts on this?
