I saw this on the news and was amazed. But I am too lazy to Google it and have a link for you.
Reasearchers have been working modifying the DNA of virii looking for ways to combat human afflictions.
Cancers if most all forms are 'immune' to the hosts immune system. Sort of like the immune system does not recognize the cancer is being a problem and thus leaving it to grow.
Reasearchers have replaced a section of Polio DNA with something that nullifies the Polio effect and have found that this modified virii not only attacks cancer cells but removes the 'cloaking' ability of the cancer, allowing the host immune system to attack and over-whelm the cancer.
Case in point, a Lady with a brain tumor, Dr's unable to remove the whole tumor, send her home with a life expectancy of 90 days.
The modified Polio virus has successfully defeated the cancer. Period.
They article didn't say of this will work on any other types of cancer.
