I think it was Micheal Murphy who talked about thinking of treatments only one week at a time.
This has helped my attitude greatly.
And it is FRIDAY and I am done for the week!! YEAH !! :clap; :clap; :clap;
I hope all have a great weekend. :bandance; :bandance; :bandance; :bandance;

If you go on Saturday it's the end of your week and you get two days off so celebrate the completion. I started doing this as a joke, when I started the nurse who was treating me was taking out my needles and since it was Friday I told her I would not be coming back this center again this week. She began to argue that I had to come back, i repeated that I would not be back again this week,this went through seven iterations until she realized it was Friday. Then it hit me I was done for th e week and it felt good I felt like I had completed something. Since then I worry about the treatments a week at a time.

Vt Big Rig is a home hemo patient, so he will never get a two day celebration. But, home hemo sucks only about half as much as in-center, so a one day celebration is enough.
As of 1PM tomorrow, I'm off until Monday AM. I love these short gaps. When circumstances force a longer gap (had a very rare 2 day one recently), I'm sufficiently concerned about not getting enough treatment to cancel out any ability to really enjoy the gap.

Same here ... and I am always very happy to have completed another successful week ... :waving;

I'm 'celebrating ' each and every day I'm still around on this planet. And I find the EOD schedule magnificent. Weekend every other day too. I've gained at least 2 kilo's in two weeks through celebrating with half a bottle of Baileys, and it's not fluid overload
:cheer: :beer1;

As Simon Dog said I am a home hemo patient BUT I do get two days off. After Thursday night we run again Sunday through Thursday. In the evening as we are both still working.
My point was the freedom that the attitude espoused by Mr Murphy of taking it a week at time really helps me.
I am sorry if anyone still scheduled for Saturday was offended. Again not the point.

An interesting thing about home hemo are there are so many choices - though my RN does not include two days off in a row as one of the choices.
I am going to nocturnal shortly, and am being given the choices of "5 nights/wk, 4 night/wk or 2 on-1 off schedules.

My RN was not thrilled but when we pointed out that 5 days apparently was good during training for weeks, why not stay there. It increased the time some. But labs have been way above their "standard" so no problem.
