Been dealing with depression for a while now. Decided to go to GP an was prescribed Lexapro 10mg. I just started taking it and the doc said it would take a few weeks before it really kicked in. The problem is it makes me nervous. I feel like I should get up and do something and find it hard to rest. Is this normal and will it go away?

Sorry, I don't know anything about Lexapro but definitely let your doctor know about this or ask a pharmacist, they are usually very up-to-date on drugs. Maybe the nervousness is a side-effect or maybe you are having a reaction to the medicine or even to the coating or fillers. Or maybe the Lexapro is counteracting to another medicine (or even food) you are taking. Hope you feel better soon!

I did some research and this seems to be a normal side effect that goes away. It has gone away and now I am sleepy all the time. This is supposed to go away also.

Glad to know it was just a side effect and that it's eased up on you. Hopefully now the medicine part of it will kick in and make you feel tons better! Depression is a tough one.
