Title: TV producer making a documentary about kidney transplants
Post by: vkm on August 28, 2015, 03:46:39 AM
Hi,

I am a TV producer making a documentary about kidney transplants. The documentary will include a sensitive portrayal of the difficulties of life on dialysis as well as showing the anguish and torment of trying to find a new kidney.

We will also be looking at the different ways people go about finding a new kidney and I would like to talk to people about the more extreme methods of this. I was hoping someone might be happy to talk to me about the pros and cons of finding a kidney abroad.

I am acutely aware that certain aspects of this are illegal and I’m not at all interested in talking to anyone about actually doing it. That is not the point. What I would like to do is have a discussion with people who are in need of a kidney about the pros and cons of this approach.

Please PM me if you would be happy to discuss this further.

I have posted this request with the permission of the ihatedialysis.com administrator.

Many thanks,

Vikki

Feel free to PM me if you want someone to talk to someone that feels the opposite of what you are looking for.  I'm happy with dialysis, work, am still able to travel internationally for fun, and am fine waiting on the transplant list until the time comes.

The most stressful part of waiting is when you get a call that  might turn out to be a kidney.
