I have converted my diet to being a flexitarian (Vegetarian 5 days /Small amount of meat 2 days a week) after a long conversation with the dietician whilst in hospital.
Gives me the freedom to eat more vegetables and fruit and pulses and nuts than on a standard renal diet but also allows to eat out/ takeaway and the odd bacon sandwich at the weekend.
Will be interesting to see how it affects my blood tests.
I feel quite good after the first week and have lost about 0.5kg!
I find with vegetarian meals, particularly stir fries and suchlike there is more taste and less bulk, if that makes sense. :thumbup;

Good luck, Sugar !
I do hope that it has a good affect on your blood-tests...
... and congratulations for having lost 0.5kg !
Best wishes from Kristina.

Sounds good, and easy to do. Hope it works out for you.

That is what I do. I eat about 75% of my calories as veggies and fruits and the other 25% as proteins and other stuff. Most of my protein comes from beans and nuts, with the occasional meat (mostly chicken and turkey). I've lost about 23 pounds at the rate of a pound a week. I'm not sure you could do this, though, because I have to drink lots of water to keep everything from getting "backed up" in my gut.
Still, a vegetarian diet is really much healthier! Good luck! (and I love my bacon, too!)

I just don't like fruits and veggies. I guess I'm lucky in a way??
:waiting;

There's always senna tablets!!
I will have to decrease my fluid intake slightly to allow for extra water in fruit and vegetables ... but so far, so good.
Drew now has a drawer in the fridge marked Man Stuff (with bacon/sausages/steaks/chops and a big hunk of cheddar!!!!) ::) ;D
