Dialysis - Different Types for Different Patients

Have you ever wondered which kind of dialysis is best for you? Dr. Catherine Clase will introduce the different types of dialysis, and discuss their benefits and disadvantages. Following her presentation, a recent kidney transplant recipient, and a kidney disease patient who is currently doing at-home hemo-dialysis, will talk about their personal experiences with dialysis treatments. There will be an open question and answer session at the end. You are welcome to join us!
This presentation is part of an ongoing series of two-hour informational support meetings hosted by the Hamilton Chapter of the PKD Foundation of Canada. They are open to the public free of charge and the venue is wheelchair accessible. Registration is not required. Local street parking (free) and hospital parking (payment required) is available.

and thanks for the information. I would be very interested in the result of the discussion and answers.
... I have only been on dialysis for over a month and my understanding so far is, that any dialysis might do,
as long as the nurses are reliable and all the equipment is hygenically absolutely clean
and the environment for the patient is kept hygenically clean when they are on dialysis...
Hygiene is most important because of the fragility of the patient on their life-support...
I would be interested in the result of the discussion, if there are other matters which might be equally important ?
