For anyone interested in the National Kidney Federation's conference that took place earlier this month in Blackpool, here are the links the presentations:
http://www.kidney.org.uk/about-us/conference/nkf-annual-patients-conference-2014-presentations/
Blackpool is a fantastic venue, being on the coast, with the famous Blackpool illuminations all along the promenade.
2014's Theme was Taking Control.. something a lot of patients are encourage to do, despite it seeming like a never ending struggle.
Breakthroughs in transplantation, a large debate on hospital transport, and possibly the highlight, live cookery demonstrations by TV Chef Lawrence Keogh (also a transplantee and top UK chef).
I missed the afternoon sessions (small equipment crisis with my partners wheelchair) but will have to catch up with them online.
Do have a look, and enjoy:)

Blackpool is a seaside town on the North East side of England:)
Its famous as a tourist resort during the summer and later in the year for the Blackpool Illuminations, a show of lights that stretch the length of the main promenade.
