Title: Using artery

Tech,whom I've had many times,hooked me up differently today. She put in venous needle first then the arteral,which stung a little.Ran perfect for 3 hours but when taking me off, I saw where she put the arterial needle directly into the artery below the graft and the fistula.  Needless to say,it squirted blood and took longer to clot.

Has anyone ever had this done.  I thought  sticking into the artery was a nono.

Ask her/him next time.  You have a right to know what and why they are doing something.
