I thought I would share this with everyone, it's a great fall recipe and it's basically a Naked Apple Crisp.

Followed your link, this recipe looks delicious! My husband is diabetic but he can eat apples so long as he doesn't eat other sweets. He does home-hemo dialysis 5 times a week so is not as restricted. I think Splenda makes a splenda/brown sugar blend that I could use, altho the recipe doesn't really call for too much brown sugar so might be ok for him. (I'd rather he avoid Splenda). Am also going to look into leaving the skin of the apples on as apple skin contains malic acid and if I remember correctly, malic acid helps to build and store energy within the walls of certain cells in our bodies.
