This is a warning based on experience.
It is not uncommon for females to experience the burning pain of cystitis
(cystitis is an inflammation of the bladder, which is often caused by infection of the bladder with bacteria),
and to relieve the symptoms, there are several products (commonly sachets of powder to mix with water) which are effective,
BUT be warned: some of these products may contain such a high level of potassium,
which could raise one’s potassium level to the point where any doctor might refer a person
to the hospital immediately, due to there being a danger to the heart.
This happened to me whilst already in pre-dialysis end stage kidney failure
and only by questioning my medications at the time did I discover,
that the product (sachet) for cystitis I was taking contained very high levels of potassium.
Having realized this, I stopped midway through the course indicated on the box
and cautiously waited for my potassium level to reduce and get back to normal, which it did.
