I'm on NxStage, but have occasion to use clinics as a transient since I travel without my care partner.
I don't think I have ever had a transient clinic get the Rx correct. Sometimes, the RN accepts my instructions, sometimes they call the on-call MD, but it always gets straightened out since I have the RN at my home clinic email me the details of the expected Rx.
Yesterday, I was scheduled for 3 hours with 31 bicarb instead of 4 hours with 35 bicarb as prescribed. I was told the prescribing NP at the clinic I visited looked at my NxStage flow sheets (clearly labeled NxStage at the top) and "just sort of guessed".
Anyone else having this problem?

Take a copy of your Rx with you. I've showed up and they have had NO orders for me at all and it is usually a weekend. Take a copy of your last labs for some reason they want that too. :waiting;

The Fresenius labs are all on-line, and I always have my laptop with me at treatment, so I can pull up labs on demand. And, I always have a recent emial form the home care RN with my full Rx for the visiting treatment. I've found that as long as I know what I am supposed to get, I will get it.
