Ever since Frank had his adrenal gland removed in March, a strange phenonenon has been occuring while he's on dialysis. When he starts out, his BP will be in the 140's or 150's over 70's or 80's. By the time he's done and gets off the machine, his BP is in the 170's or 180's! its been as high as the 200's a time or two. His neph is not overly concerned, and neither is his Primary, but I find it extremely weird and a bit concerning. Thoughts?

My first thought is to challenge his fluid. Try taking more fluid off.
Just a thought.

What dialysis does he do? Is it in center or home and is it Nxstage?
One thought is the sodium in the dialysate. If it is in center what do they run it at?
I would be careful to start pulling too much fluid until you figure it out. What blood speed do they run? Is it fistula or catheter?

I would check the blood pumpspeed.
Lots of luck, and love to you both, Cas
