Title: Gynecomastia
Post by: Walman on May 04, 2014, 11:06:10 AM
I am a 53 yr old male. I just had my pd cath installed on May 1st. Dec. of last year I started getting a painful lump in my left breast. Had a mammogram and ultrasound was told that it was gynecomastia. It is now May and it has started on my right side doctors have never had kidney patients with this problem. Has anyone else had this?

What medicines are you taking? Have you had your hormones checked and also prolactin levels?

Just read a little about it. Most of the time the cause is unknown, but I noticed that it can be a side affect from blood pressure drugs like Norvasc (Amlodipine) - are you taking this?

I had it once and had to have it surgically removed. The DR said it was probably brought on by my liver disease. I've since had a liver transplant.
