Title: talker and numerous Medical Professionals Rant
Post by: talker on March 30, 2014, 10:39:26 AM
Well now, right or wrong, or even as a hard headed (you name it), Some things just rub against the grain.

I'm told 'your numbers are looking good'.
Use Canola oil.
Don't use Coconut oil.
Why would you use red pepper?
why do you use Ginger?
avoid butter.
Don't eat eggs.
(all the above are dandy conversation pieces)

The above are part of various 'Q and A' sessions that have been shared with various Medical Professionals.
Some Medical Professionals seem to have stopped (or don't have time) to do ongoing research.

Some commence to believe I'm a dumb/smart as_ed idiot for my beliefs.
Won't go into detail here at this point.

If my 'numbers' are looking good (on the dialysis machine), why do they (Medical Professionals) try to sway me from the protocols I now use!
No I'm not a Doctor or professional  basher here, just that some things make no sense from my perspective.
Will for the record state that I have faithfully followed all the suggested dialysis protocols, but never really felt 'good' doing them

I've mentioned else where that it was 31 years with out ever seeing any doctor.
Am I perfect in all my choices! Nah, were some dandy boo-boos.
Doesn't mean I never got ill, just that I did what needed doing at the time.

I have half given up listening to them and go my own sweet way for a lot of things ... particularly diet. Got far more correct and sensible advice on here than from dietitian..
I swear that they don't keep up with new drug info either...

Hi SugarLump,
Happy for you.
Ha, love hearing you say it, yet must caution you to keep the 'half' part in your awareness, so as to allow 'intuition' to be alive.
Actually I don't fault the pro's, even if I rant at it all, some are really sincere, once you crack the outer shell and get down to the nitty gritty.

Urine, actually a whole subject all by it's self.
