Title: Hello Again
Post by: Fox_nc on March 15, 2014, 10:04:37 AM
Happy Saturday  :cheer:

My name is Sonja, I'm a 35 year old life long patient. I was born with reflux, which wasn't discovered under there was already considerable damage.  I went on dialysis the first time in 1994 followed by a living related transplant in 1995 (thanks Mom) I returned to dialysis in 2006, followed by a living unrelated transplant in 2007 (thanks Hubby) and here I am again ...

I actually became a member of the board in 2006, but after a couple tough losses, I stayed away for a bit. I guess the reality of it all was too much, but I'm learning reality sucks, but it is what it is. I'm glad to see so many familiar names still floating around and look forward to catching up.  :grouphug;

Hello, fox_nc

and welcome back again...

I do understand very well that you took a little distance after your first introduction to IHD ...
I was in a similar situation, when my ESRF became at first a little too overbearing... and I had to find a little distance...
... a distance to enable me to become better familiar with my situation... and become similarly "au fait"  with the latest medical results...
... to give me a better way not only to face my situation ... but to be a little better able to handle the overwhelming situation of ESRF a little better....
... all that takes time.... and lots of study... and lots of patience...
