Is there anyone that have information regarding this issue. My father (72years old) is now very week and have dialysis three times a week with the effect that he will be in bed, "out of touch", for 3 days per week which is severely reducing his quality of life. He has recently been investigated by doctors in Sweden but they cannot find out why he is feeling this bad after dialysis. So, if there are anyone that has experience from this situation please post your comments !

I saw you posted that he's been on dialysis for two years. I'm sorry he's feeling so poorly. Has it been like this from the beginning, or is this something new?

I would be interested in how much fluid they are taking off and how fast. That is a potential issue .

And maybe the pump speed ?
Good luck, I hope they find the cause soon
Take care, Cas

Thank you all for your input and concern however; the potential causes pasted above have already been very much investigated with no result…

So sorry to hear about your Father. When I did Dialysis in the clinic, I always felt tired and nauseous during and after treatment. Now that I do my dialysis at home, I don't have the same problems. Is doing dialysis at home an option for him?
Good Luck!

Bengt, try giving him some vitamins. When he dialysis it cleans all the minerial and vitamins out his blood. You can replace the vitamins and minerials my taking vitamins. It helped me when I was in center.
