Title: antibiotics and severe indigestion/digestion problems
Post by: lunadatura on October 11, 2013, 09:12:23 PM
hello

due to dialysis and related infections - one on a brief stint on PD and two in my dialysis arm and one with a catheter that landed me in ICU with septicemia (this was my single worse experience of my life pain wise - any body who says a broken heart is bad has not been in this much physical pain!) three years ago. As a result I have develop major digestive problems. I never had much problems with indigestion, acid reflux, excessive gas and vomiting untll dialysis. I tried to take probiotics and prozac - didnt work. I went to gastroenterologist but that was a useless waste of time. It wasnt until I figured out that I needed the most potent probiotics with a gazillion strains of probiotics that I started to have some relief. It had gotten bad that the ranitadine wasnt helping. Today I ate a sub with marinara tomato sauce and this is generally one of my triggers for stomach upset - but i took some ranitadine and so far so good. It seems like I am healing my stomach. I wanted to share in case anyone else is having the same problem.
