Title: Renal vitamins
Post by: Tío Riñon on July 23, 2013, 07:52:19 PM
I'm at a new clinic for the summer while I pursue my studies.  When I arrived, I didn't have any vitamins and explained to the nurse that I didn't really like the ones I had been taking previously and was open to trying another type.   I picked up the prescription later and paid $50 for what I later found out was NOT for kidney patients, but rather for people with Cystic Fibrosis.

Today the dietitian responded to a question that I posed after researching the "vitamin" online and told me that I shouldn't be taking it.  Instead she recommended something called "RenalTab 2".  It is supposed for be better tasting, more inexpensive ($10-$15/bttl), and made for kidney patients.  Has anyone heard of this before?  If so, what are your thoughts about the company and its products?

You can check it out at the following link:  https://www.secureorderform.com/renalab.net/

I think Henry P Snicklesnorter posted about these a few months back.  He would be the best person to ask.

Thanks for the tip.  He had posted under multi-vitamins, so it didn't come up when I searched for renal vitamins.

I'll pursue my questions w/him.
